FNP Prize
Individual prize for eminent researchers for their outstanding achievements or discoveries, awarded in four main areas of study: exact sciences, medicine and life sciences, humanities and social sciences and technical sciences. Regarded as the most prestigious of its kind in Poland.
Since 2005 FNP Prize can be awarded not only to the Polish nationals, but also to foreign sientists residing and working in Poalnd as well as to scholars from abroad specialising in Polish issues.

MISTRZ PROGRAMME (ACADEMIC GRANTS FOR PROFESSORS)
3-year grants for distinguished scholars. They are aimed at intensifying ongoing research or undertaking new research directions. This scheme is targeted at those who successfully combine their own research activity with educating the younger generation of scholars. Short-listed potential beneficiaries are selected in a competition comprising several stages.

INTERNATIONAL PhD STUDIES PROGRAMME
(the programme is operated within the Operational Programme Innovative Economy 2007-20013; measure 1.2 - strengthening the human potential  in the science sector).
The overall objective of the programme is to increase the level of research carried out in Poland performed by young scientists during the preparation of their PhD theses.

START PROGRAMME (STIPENDS FOR YOUNG RESEARCHERS)
These twelve-month stipends are awarded since 1992 to the most promising young researchers (up to the age of 30) whose achievements have been already recognised. The number of beneficiaries each year exceeds 100.

IN-COUNTRY MOBILITY FELLOWSHIP
Financing short (up to several months) visits of young researchers (up to 35) to the leading Polish research centers

HOMING PROGRAMME (REINTEGRATION GRANTS FOR POLISH SCIENTISTS)
2-year grants (with a possible extension) for young researchers returning from an extended scientific stay abroad awarded to facilitate their return to Poland and to boost their academic career by improving their working conditions and supporting cooperation with the foreign host research centre

FOCUS PROGRAMME (ESTABLISHING NEW RESEARCH GROUPS)

3-year subsidies addressed to young researchers who are at the preliminary phase of creating their research team and possess distiunguished scientific record. The research area covered by the programme is announced every year. In 2009 edition - research on linguistic categorization of the world.

Funding short visits of eminent retired scientists from the top universities to less prestigious centers in Poland

KOLUMB PROGRAMME (POSTDOC OUT-GOING FELLOWSHIPS)
six to twelve-month stipneds addressed to young (up to 35) scholars for visits to leading research centers worldwide (with a possibility to acquire a support grant after return to Poland)

GRANTS FOR ARCHIVE SEARCH ABROAD
Grants awarded to Polish scholars for archive search abroad aimed at realization of original and groundbreaking projects in the field of humanities or socal sciences

 

CONFERENCE GRANTS
Grants for participation in international symposia, conferences and congresses for young researchers, whose selection procedure is run by the Warsaw Scientific Society.

European Young Investigator Award (EURYI)

FNP, as the first Polish organization, in 2006 joined the prestigous programme EURYI, which aim is to attract outstanding young researchers from all over the world to work in Europe for the further development of European science contributing to the building up of the next generation of leading European researchers.
