financial assistance at the implementation level and training in business administration

Basing on previous experience in technology transfer programmes, in 2006 the Foundation launched a programme to support knowledge transfer into economy through financial assistance, training in business administration and couching provided to young scientists.

This programme is addressed to young scientists:
-PhD students (planning to defend their PhD thesis in two years time from the closing date of the call,
-PhD holders having no more than 4 years of postdoctoral experience at the closing date of the call.
Applicants are selected taking into account innovative character of the project and its potential application.

The programme is implemented at three stages:

STAGE I - selection of 20 to 25 innovative projects (in technology or services) among all submitted applications. Subsequently, selected scientists are to be invited for a 2 to 4 - months practical training on managing business activity. At the end of the course the participants are required to create business plans with regards to the project implementation.

STAGE II - Foundation covers the expenditures concerning project implementation for selected candidates, following business plans submitted by the authors. Foundation offers financial and organizational support at a launching stage of business activity.

STAGE III - Foundation directs successful applicants to external financial institutions and provides assistance concerning further project funding.

NOTE: There exists a possibility to apply for the programme for the candidates who meet the obligatory criteria and who submitted implementation projects, recommended by institutions providing business support for the scientists (such as business incubators, technological parks, technology transfer centers and others) even if they have not participated in stage I. They will thus join the programme in stage II and III.

Closing date - June 15 .
