Max Planck Society

The Max Planck Society is an independent organization supporting scientific research, to which 80 academic institutes throughout Germany (and others) are affiliated. The institutes belonging to MPG principally conduct fundamental research in a wide spectrum of disciplines, from life sciences to the humanities and social sciences. The research work carried on at these institutes is an important supplement to the research done at universities, in view of both its innovative nature and the unique research instruments belonging to MPG which are used by researchers working at other institutions.

As part of the cooperation between FNP and MPG, Polish scientists who have had placements at any of the Max Planck institutes have the opportunity at the same time to apply for additional financing under the MPG Partner Groups programme and for a return grant offered by FNP under the HOMING programme.
