Norwegian Scientific Research Council
The Norwegian Scientific Research Council is a government agency whose object is to support and conduct research in many areas of science, technology, medicine and the humanities and to increase awareness of the importance of scientific research for contemporary society. The Council is also an advisory body to the Norwegian government.
The Foundation is assisted by the Council’s experts in the procedure of assessing applications under the HOMING programme (subsidies for young Polish scientists returning from abroad who want to conduct research in Poland and continue cooperation with foreign partners). The Foundation has obtained funds for this programme from the EEA Financial Mechanism (financial support given by the governments of Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein in order to accelerate the closing of gaps in the level of development between EU/EEA member states).
