We invite our readers to review the Annual Report of the Foundation for Polish Science, which includes financial statements as well as a presentation of the Foundation?s statutory activity and initiatives undertaken in 2014.
The report answers such questions as:
? What programmes, domestic and international, did the Foundation implement in 2014?
? What prizes, fellowships and grants did the Foundation award to scholars last year?
? Who were the winners and recipients in FNP programmes in 2014?
? What were the most important events for FNP in the past year?
? What other initiatives did FNP launch in 2014?
In the report, we discuss how the Academica digital loan system for scientific publications was established as an FNP initiative, the history of FNP?s Polish/German programmes COPERNICUS and the Humboldt Fellowship, and the ideas for unusual research projects pursued by recipients in the SKILLS project. The report includes an article about the Polish studies programmes at Columbia University and the University of Cambridge, which were inaugurated in 2014 with long-term commitments from the Foundation.
A hard copy of the report is available at FNP?s offices.
