The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) invites young doctors from Poland and abroad who consider applying for the FIRST TEAM, HOMING and POWROTY/REINTEGRATION programmes to an on line transmission of the information meeting devoted to these programmes, scheduled to take place on 15 September in Warsaw.

The FIRST TEAM programme offers funds (of up to PLN 2 million) to young researchers who want to found their first team. The HOMING programme is addressed to people who want to return to Poland to do research work. Under the programme, grants of up to PLN 800 thousand will be awarded for postdoctoral fellowships projects. Researchers who interrupted R&D work at an early stage of their professional careers, e.g. due to employment in another sector of economy or for parental reasons, may receive a grant of up to ca. PLN 800 thousand in the POWROTY/REINTEGRATION programme. The applications to the second competition may be submitted by 17 October.

Funding under all the three programmes will be available for young doctors (who have had a doctoral degree for not longer than 5 years) regardless of their nationality. The subject matter of projects, which have to be implemented in cooperation with a scientific partner (domestic or foreign), may involve internationally groundbreaking R&D work with potentially high significance for the economy and society, especially from the National Smart Specialisation list.

The information meeting will be held in English. The registration has been already closed but we encourage to tune in to the event  on the Foundation?s YouTube channel. The broadcast will begin at 10 a.m. During the meeting, online participants will be able to ask questions by sending an e-mail to: infoday@fnp.org.pl. A recording will be available on YouTube immediately after the end of the meeting.
