Due to the tragic events in Ukraine and as an act of solidarity with Poland?s neighbor, the Foundation for Polish Science informs about the possibilities of employing students, doctoral candidates, and scientists from Ukraine in centers financed from the FNP programme International Research Agendas (MAB).
Researchers can be employed as ?visiting scientists,? research fellows, and research technicians.
The position of ?visiting scientist? is independent of candidates? degrees, so employment in this position can also be offered to students. The procedure will require candidate acceptance by the project?s International Scientific Committee and the FNP, while the maximum period of employment is six months.
Another option is to hire research technicians or postdocs with advanced research and development experience. Research technicians? employment does not require FNP approval and has no time limit. Research positions (for advanced postdocs) also have no limitation to the length of employment and only require FNP approval.
Funding for research positions for Ukrainian employees or students who reside in Poland ? selected according to the programme rules ? should come from the funds contracted for the specific project. However, if all project funds are already allocated in the budget until the end of the project, the FNP may propose an annex to the grant agreement and supplement the project budget with funds for this purpose.
