The Foundation for Polish Science supports the concept of Open Access to scientific publications with the included research results. Our goal is to maximize the impact of publicly funded research on scientific, social, and economic development. Worldwide and free access to research results accelerates and facilitates search for information, enhances research processes, and contributes to the development of innovations. Open Access also promotes the exchange of ideas, broadens research perspective, and reduces the risk of duplicating scientific efforts.

FNP aims to increase the transparency and credibility of research processes by providing access to the research data used in publications. Sharing reliable, complete, and comprehensible results not only enables a more complete understanding and verification of a study but also promotes data reuse, comparative research, and may encourage new interpretations of the data. Open research data can be utilized by both other researchers and individuals outside the academic community.

FNP opts for scientists to make responsible and conscious decisions on data use, including scientific progress, economic development, and solving social and civilization problems. From this perspective, responsible management of research results is crucial.
