All the member organizations share the common mission of conducting or financing research characterized by scientific excellence. The members of Science Europe include such organizations as the French Agence nationale de la recherche, the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Max Planck Society, the Medical Research Council from the UK, the Research Council of Norway (Norges forskningsråd), and the Swiss National Science Foundation.
