As of 2012 the Foundation has been a partner of the AcademiaNet initiative ? a web portal presenting profiles of leading female researchers. The project has been run since 2010 by the Robert Bosch Foundation in association with the Nature and Spektrum der Wissenschaft periodicals.

AcademiaNet?s aim is to promote excellent women scientists and as a result to increase their participation in academic and scientific advisory and decision-making bodies.

Every year the initiative?s scientific partners, which include institutions like the Max Planck Society and the Wellcome Trust, are asked to suggest female researchers whose profiles should be posted on the website.

In 2014 the Foundation nominated 19 women for the project:

  • 10 in the established academics and scientists category
  • 9 in the junior academics and scientists category

We encourage you to browse the profiles of the researchers proposed by the Foundation in 2014.
