To make sure we and our co-operators are safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation for Polish Science recommends Grantees and Beneficiaries to carry out their projects on a remote basis, as far as possible.
We encourage you to organise your work in such a way that you keep only essential functions in place, and place greater emphasis on tasks which can be performed remotely, such as data analysis, preparing publications, literature reviews, etc. This is a fully justified measure under the present circumstances, and as such it will not lead to questioning the eligibility of payroll-related expenses under your research projects.
Also, please provide us with updates on any project-schedule changes. We realise that you may have issues with financial management and the delivery of accounting documents due to your administrative staff working on a remote basis. We will use our best efforts to handle all grants without delay, so please respond to our requests in that regard if possible. We will approach each case individually.
The Foundation has asked the Intermediary Authority/Managing Authority to take a position on extending projects beyond their planned timeframes. We will issue a communication in that regard on our website once we know what their stance is.
