Scientists with a flair for popularizing science now have until 14 March to register in the INTER programme, which comprises two stages: training courses taught by the best Polish and international specialists and a science popularization competition.
The programme is available to scientists at the start of their careers representing any field of research:
- PhD students from Polish research units who reside in Poland,
- research workers with a doctoral degree who reside in Poland and are employed under an employment contract at a research unit based in the Republic of Poland – up to 6 years from their PhD,
- graduates of PhD studies up to 12 months from obtaining their doctoral degree who want to carry out their project at a research unit based in the Republic of Poland.
The programme’s participants will be able to take part in training courses on interdisciplinary cooperation and science popularization. These will help them prepare an application for the science popularization competition in which the finalists will present their interdisciplinary research projects in front of an audience and the competition committee.
The winners will receive the following prizes: PLN 120,000 (1st prize), PLN 100,000 (2nd prize) and PLN 80,000 (3rd prize). The committee may decide to award each prize to more than one person.
Each prize consists of two parts: 80% is a grant for carrying out the presented research project while 20% is a personal stipend for the prize-winner.
The audience will also choose their favourite – the winner of the audience poll will receive a prize of PLN 10,000.
We hope you rise to the challenge!
*The INTER programme is implemented as part of the SKILLS project co-financed with European Union funding from the European Social Fund.
