The Foundation for Polish Science is pleased to announce that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education is marking the 25th anniversary of the introduction of democracy in Poland.

In 1989, Poles brought a democratic end to communism, thus initiating transformation of the political and economic system and profound social changes. Throughout Poland, many anniversary events are being held to mark 25 years of freedom. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education is launching promotional activities to take place under the common slogan of ?Science is freedom?, invoking the tradition of freedom of scientific research and teaching and university autonomy.
