Are you looking for research grants? Are you hoping to accelerate your research career? If so, don?t miss the Polish Info Day at the King?s College London, 4 November 2016. There, you will have a chance to meet representatives of leading Polish funding institutions and find out about new research opportunities in Poland.

Polish Info Day is an international careers event aimed at the research community and focused on presenting funding opportunities available for individual researchers willing to conduct their research in Poland. The event is organised by the Foundation for Polish Science in cooperation with two Polish state funding agencies: the National Science Centre and the National Centre for Research and Development, as well as with UK partners: the King?s College London, Universities UK and British Embassy in Warsaw.

At the meeting, you will have a chance to learn about a comprehensive offer of research grants for young and experienced scientists from all over the world. You can also meet representatives of the funding institutions, including Professor Maciej Żylicz, president of the Foundation for Polish Science and a molecular biologist well-known for his work on heat shock proteins (learn more: link).

The Foundation for Polish Science will present its portfolio of grants funded under the Smart Growth Operational Programme and dedicated to scientists at different stages of their careers.

If you are a young researcher, we would like to draw your attention to the FNP?s offer for post-docs and young PhDs (HOMING and REINTEGRATION programmes), and to the unique opportunity for young doctors to create their own research teams (FIRST TEAM programme).

More established researchers may be interested in the International Research Agendas Programme, aimed at the creation of new centres of excellence in Poland and offering positions for over 500 scientists in more than 50 teams to be created within those centres. There is also the TEAM programme, offering grants for research teams headed by distinguished scientists, as well as the TEAM-TECH programme, offering grants for the development of innovative technologies, processes or products.

Among other things, the National Science Centre will present the POLONEZ programme ? an opportunity for incoming researchers applying for 12- or 24-month fellowships in host institutions in Poland. The National Centre for Research and Development will present its funding portfolio addressed to researchers conducting applied or industry-oriented research.

The Polish Info Day will take place on 4 November at the King?s College London.

The event is free of charge, but please register your participation by contacting Agnieszka Kossakowska: agnieszka.kossakowska@fnp.org.pl
