The European Research and Innovation Days, held in late September in Brussels, featured the symbolic inauguration of the ENSEMBLE3 project. The project’s coordinator is Dorota A. Pawlak, a winner of a number of FNP competitions.
The goal of the ENSEMBLE3 project is to create a Centre of Excellence for nanophotonics, advanced functional materials and the crystal growth technology. Around EUR 30 million of EU funds in total will be designated for the creation of the Centre.
The project is carried out by the Łukasiewicz Research Network, the Institute of Electron Materials Technology and the University of Warsaw, with the support of the National Centre for Research and Development. The key role in the project consortium is also played by European research establishments, including the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, and the Cooperative Research Center NanoGUNE Consolider, Spain.
