Today, the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) is opening successive competitions in its TEAM, TEAM-TECH, TEAM-TECH Core Facility and TEAM-TECH Core Facility PLUS programmes. A total of PLN 95 million is being made available in all the competitions. Applications can be submitted until 15 January 2018. All programmes are open to scientists from Poland and abroad, regardless of nationality.
Programme TEAM offers grants worth about PLN 3.5 million, to be implemented in research teams directed by outstanding researchers from all over the world with widely recognized and original scientific achievements. The grants are awarded for R&D projects that contribute to solving scientific problems on a global scale or respond to crucial challenges faced by contemporary society. The results of the projects should influence the country?s socio-economic development and fit within a National Smart Specialization. The participation of a foreign research partner in project implementation is also mandatory. Projects can be implemented not only in scientific institutions, but also in enterprises and science-and-industry consortia. Grants can be obtained for 3 years, with the possibility of extending them up to 2 additional years.

Programme TEAM-TECH is a proposition for business, including start-ups, interested in conducting R&D, as well as for scientific institutions that want to establish or intensify R&D collaboration with business. The programme offers about PLN 3.5 million in funding to support the best research teams and the R&D they perform in the areas of technology, product development and process development of great importance to the economy. Programme applicants may be outstanding scientists with research or implementation experience backed up by achievements. Projects may be conducted in scientific institutions, enterprises and science-and-industry consortia, though it?s mandatory to partner with a business (for scientific institutions) or with a scientific institution (enterprises).

The purpose of the TEAM-TECH Core Facility and TEAM-TECH Core Facility PLUS programmes is to fund research teams led by scientists conducting R&D projects relating to the invention, development and market launching of research services for business users or others, including other science and research institutions. Depending on the programme, researchers can apply for approx. PLN 3.5 million for projects lasting up to 36 months (Core Facility module), or for approx. PLN 1.5 million for projects lasting up to 18 months (Core Facility PLUS module). Applications may be submitted by scientists with at least a doctorate who have research or implementation experience backed up by achievements. Projects may be conducted by scientific institutions as well as enterprises.

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 January 2018 4:00 pm local time. Applications are accepted only in electronic format (there is no need to send printed documents).
